365 Days of Blessings - Day 68

365 Days of Blessings, Day 68

1. God loves us so much that he loves us through our faithlessness, and into our faithfulness.

2. Counting up my blessings, and developing an attitude of gratitude has made me more aware of the positive attitudes and thankfulness of others around me.

3. A blog post that centers on positivity aka positive thinking and how it shapes our lives: What Do You Think About?

4. A blog post that takes time to give thanks and share blessings: Thanks and Blessings

5. A gentleman in our neighborhood who walks at the same time we do, and he is always friendly, always encouraging, always has as my mom puts it "holiness" around him. We found out that he is a retired Pastor yesterday . . . and it seemed like everything clicked. Yes, "they'll know we are Christians by our love."

6. My older dog may walk stiffly, have trouble with stairs, and lay down with a groan, but when it is time to walk she is up and prancing around as if all the aches and years are gone.

7. The shape of a cat, curled in sleep with her tail over her nose.

8. Hearing over and over again in the last few days that my Dad is an inspiration to others. I wonder if he knows. I defiinitely have to tell him. He's always been an inspiration to me.

9. My daughters taught me how to do a Maxi Ford with a jump rope yesterday. (A Maxi Ford is a tap step that includes a jump/leap, shuffle, jump, toe.)

10. Reading Song of Songs and the book of Hosea simultaneously gives me a complex, challenging, and yet sweet picture of how intimately and how amazingly God loves each of us, and all of his people.

Shared Blessings:
My mom is thankful that we are "prisoners of hope" like it means in Zephaniah 9:12 and she is thankful that Christ died for us.

Scriptures for the Day:

"My lover spoke and said to me,
'Arise, my darling,
my beautiful one, and come with me.
See! The winter is past;
the rains are over and gone.
Fowers appear on the earth;
the season of singing has come,
the cooing of doves
is heard in our land.'"
Song of Songs 2:10-12

"'Therefore I am now going to allure
her;
I will lead her into the desert
and speak tenderly to her.
there I will give her back her vineyards,
and will make the Valley of Achor
a door of hope.
There she will sing as in the days of
her youth,
as in the day she came up out of
Egypt.
In that day,' declares the Lord,
'you will call me husband;
you will no longer call me my master.'"
Hosea 2:14-16

As always, wonderful list. Our pets enhance our lives so much, so I loved the cat curled up.
