WRITING AND YOUTUBE VIDEOS

I know authors have been creating writing videos for a long time, but I am finally getting into this with a series on Journal Writing. You can see my latest video here:

I'm also enjoying Sean McLachlan's Videos like this:

I struggle with creating videos because my speaking voice isn't perfect and I'm not a supermodel, but for some reason, during this stay-at-home season, the video bug hit me and I just started. My skills are still lacking, but I decided just to start. If I need to erase and rebuild later, I will.
I recommend checking out Sean's videos to see a bit more polish and to get some great writing inspiration.

WRITING INSPIRATION AND MONDAY MOTIVATION

"You’re never going to kill storytelling because it’s built into the human plan. We come with it.” --Margaret Atwood, poet, novelist, literary critic, essayist.

Do you think storytelling is embedded into humanity?

Why?

Congrats, Tyrean!

Funny, I can speak in front of a crowd without any problem but every video we've made for our con appearances required several takes. I always flub up a word.

Congratulations.
I avoid the camera like the plague (or Covid 19) already and the video camera is just a further step...
I hope that storytelling IS built into us. We learn from it, we entertain ourselves, we comfort ourselves - and we share. All good things.

Sean has been busy with his videos. Glad you're doing them as well.

Congrats on your book release. Awesome you're doing videos. I'd be scared to tackle it and not sure what I have to say. Hope you enjoy it.

It's a different medium. I have a hard time looking directly at the camera - whether it's a phone camera, a PC camera, or a stand alone video camera. And, I do multiple takes, sometimes over a few days. The video abos isn't perfect and it's take four, but the first.take on the second day of tackling that topic.

Congrats on the release!

Good for you for trying something new. Believe me, no one wants to hear or see me on video. I think I'll start with updating my author/blog photo. Some day. :)
