Why
I write romance
When
you ask someone what about life is a mystery to them, most will probably say
something like religion, who built the pyramids, or whether we are alone in the
universe. Well, for me, it is matters of the heart. I have never been in love,
so naturally that is what caught my attention and prickled my curiosity. After
all, love must be amazing if people are willing to die, or even kill for it . .
. right?
Another
reason why I like writing/ reading romance is that the author is obligated to
give you a happy ending. Life can be depressing and the last thing I want is a
book that reads too much like reality. Fiction, for me, is a way to escape
reality. Even make my own dreams, or fantasies come true.
I
know most people think that romances are corny, but it is hard to write. Getting
two people to fall in love, and make it believable is daunting. The fact that
most of my characters are immortal just makes it all the more exciting. But
convincing my characters to stay together for all eternity, takes a lot of
persuading on my part:)

About the Author
Murees Dupé was born
and still lives in South Africa. When she is not thinking up new stories, she
is spending time with her family, playing with her three dogs and cat, watching
TV, or overindulging on desserts. To learn more about Murees, visit her website.Static Cover Love
I love Murees Dupe's cover for Amaranthine, but I also love S.K. Anthony's Cover for Static! I'm not part of the official cover reveal party, but I thought it deserved a little extra love. Don't you agree?
Coming Soon!
A Few Hint Fiction Stories
I've been heavily involved in finishing "big" projects, but I've been writing a few hint fiction stories, too. I had a few of them published recently by Espresso Stories. I'm usually one for hope at the end of stories, but these two are a little heavy.
Double Question
Would you be willing to help me promote one of the following books?
Dynamic Writing 1 - 161 Lessons for Middle School Students - out now and looking for a little love - a tiny post this size would be awesome! (And, if you are interested in reviewing this for free, please send me an e-mail by Friday, 9/25/2015.)
or
Champion's Destiny - With distracting attention from a former swan prince and her mentors both in harm's way, will Clara be able to trust her team with her family secret as they race to fight the Dark Sisterhood on their terms?
Coming in early December 2015. Later than originally planned, but I'm hoping for "book bash" on December 4th with tiny blurbs, guest posts, or interviews between December 7th and December 18th.
If you have any interest or availability, I would greatly appreciate your help. Please e-mail me at tyreantigger (at) gmail (dot) com.

ReplyDeleteCongratulations to S.K. Anthony. That is a great cover. Thank you so much for having me over, Tyrean. It was a great honor to visit with you. I would love to help you out with your two books. I will be emailing you, shortly.
DeleteThanks, Murees!
DeleteCongrats to Murees!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on those Expresso stories! I especially liked the first one - heartbreaking!
Thanks, Madeline! I appreciate your encouragement - especially with these hint fiction stories, which I think are your specialty! :)
DeleteThank you!
DeleteGreat guest post, Murees! I enjoy reading romances, but I agree, it can be very tricky to pull those off, since the main couple tend to make-or-break a book...
ReplyDeleteAnd how exciting about those hint fic stories, Tyrean! Really enjoyed reading both of them. The "heavier" themes pack such a punch despite the small amount of words!
Thanks, Heather!
DeleteThank you! This couple was very tricky to write, but I think I got the balance right.
DeleteI don't write romance, but I still like a happy ending. (Or at least a satisfying one.)
ReplyDeleteI can help you promote either, Tyrean!
Happy endings are the best! I have actually read books that didn't have a happy ending and I felt depressed afterwards.
DeleteLove and romance is one of those things that's universal. I love a good love story with a happy ending.
ReplyDeleteI am definitely with you on that one.
DeleteI like books with happy endings--no matter the genre. I imagine it would be hard to show the chemistry between characters as their romance develops.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm glad to have you do a guest post & giveaway when book 2 comes out. E-mail me so we can set the date if you're interested.
Happy endings for me is a must. These days, no matter what book I buy, I skip ahead to see how it ends.
DeleteYay for Murees!! I'm all for happy endings. All. For.
ReplyDeleteLoving SK's cover, and I want to volunteer to help out, but my brain is about to explode around all the crazy happening right now. Maybe I'll find the sanity to commit in a month or two.
A love story for immortals would be a challenge. Let me know what I can do for you in December, Tyrean.
ReplyDeleteSusan Says
Thank you!
DeleteI do like happy endings for a change of pace of what I usually read. You're right about there being enough "unhappy" stuff going on in the world around us. Here's to all the authors here today!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Happy endings are great:)
DeleteCongrats to Murees! Great sounding book and a beautiful cover by SK.
ReplyDeleteI can help promote your new Champion book. My new Rifters comes out in early December too, so we can trade :)
Thank you!
DeleteAt the center of each of us resides the desire for love and romance. Some might be less willing to admit it than others, but deep down we all long to love and be loved. I enjoyed your interview and it's been my honor to add your book release to my blog, Murees. Congratulations on finally making your dreams come true. Now it's time for you to fall in love.
ReplyDeleteI'm eager to read S.K.'s book because I keep hearing how well she pulls off writing from a male POV.
Thanks for the book recommendations.
Thank you so much, Melissa! Maybe one day I will meet someone:)
DeleteNice guest post! Congrats to Murees on your new release! I completely agree with you about wanting a happy ending in the books I read. If I want a bad ending, I'll just read the news.
ReplyDeleteInteresting book covers, both of them.
Congrats, Tyrean, on publishing your hint fiction! Harsh thoughts, but well done.
I'm happy to do some promoting. I'll e-mail you.
I love The Amaranthine cover!!! And I agree with Murees, romance is hard to pull off. Great guest post!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes! I'll help spread your books news! I'll email you soon :D
And and and thank you so much for sharing Static!!! You made my day <3
