November IWSG: Co-Hosting

Co-Hosts:
Denise Covey  http://dencovey.blogspot.com/

My insecurity today is:

Co-hosting
Am I good enough to co-host?

I mean, will I visit enough? Write the right kind of post? Slink through the web with ninja skills and a clone army?

I kind of doubt it.

I'm not the Ninja Captain, but I love IWSG so much that I wanted to help out, so here I am.

I think my ninja suit had some bleach spilled on it followed by mustard, and my clone machine broke and keeps spewing out to-do lists, but I'll be visiting. :)

Thanksgiving side-note: I'm thankful for Alex J. Cavanaugh and every single blogger who has helped make IWSG an encouraging blog hop for writers, storytellers, and artists. Thank you, Alex.

Next WEEK:
Come take a stroll through Realms Faire! Games, riddles, and jousting will all be at various places for your amusement! Prizes will be awarded. Here, at my blog, I'll be hosting The Hero's Dilemma! Prizes will be awarded daily!!!

Also, I'm taking part in #99centnovember hosted by Milo James Fowler
Get e-books by your favorite authors for only 99cents!
My book Champion in Flight is part of the deal.

(And my first book Champion in the Darkness has gone permafree)

Have you ever co-hosted IWSG? And, can you match the stealth, speed, and awesomeness of Ninja Captain Alex? Will you join the fun of Realms Faire? Check out #99centnovember?

  1. I've never co-hosted, but hoping to in 2016. No, I could never match that kind of speed, except when it comes to writing, maybe????
Regarding the Realms Faire, I'll be taking part in the Joust, and I'm insecure as to what all that means!!!
I will be checking out the 99centnovember!
    Thanks for co-hosting - you're doing a marvelous job!

  2. That was hilarious! I bet you'll slink the the Internet with Ninja stealth.
    Thanks for co-hosting today.

    ReplyDelete
  3. I know you'll be a great co-host and will visit everyone you can. Have fun with it.

    ReplyDelete
  4. I'd say you're slinking through co-hosting just nicely. It's great fun and a fantastic way to meet peeps!

  5. I co-hosted last month and I'm still recovering. Best of luck slinking through the Internet. I know you can do it.

  6. Thanks for co-hosting this month. I'm sure it's exhausting. None of us can be the Ninja Captain! I tend to read posts through the weekend because I just can't read that many in one day.

  7. I've been a cohost twice and all you have to do is put in the time to visit lots and lots of blogs. As a stay-home mom, that's not too bad unless someone's home sick. The cool part? All the blog visits heading your way. Enjoy!

(And I'll definitely check out 99 cent November.)

  8. Bleach or no, you're a natural. You'll be great! :)

IWSG #115 until Alex culls the list again

  9. I hear you, Tyrean. It's difficult when one tries to be all things for all people. Not counting the ISWG participation. You're a great co-host!

    ReplyDelete
  10. Thanks for co-hosting today, Tyrean!!! I have great confidence in you!

    ReplyDelete
  11. Thanks for co-hosting, Tyrean! You can do this!

And no one can match Alex. :)

  12. Thanks for co-hosting, Tyrean. Like you I too love IWSG and look forward to reading the words of encouragement from other writers.

  13. Tyrean, you're doing a great job as cohost. Thanks so much. I agree on being thankful to Alex and all the wonderful writers here on IWSG.

    Best wishes,
    Diane IWSG #92

  14. Tyrean: Thanks for co-hosting and yes! you are successful at it. I am donating prizes to Realms Faire, but not participating...too much going on already. I'll check out #99centnovember later on. Sounds great. IWSG is the best.

  15. I probably would've co-hosted back when I was the last person on the list. lol Now there are like 200 people after me! I don't know how you guys do it! Thank you.

    Realms Faire sounds really cool!

  16. I haven't co-hosted, but from seeing your name around the interwebs, I'm thinking you'll be a great co-host! Best of luck in visiting! Thanks for co-hosting!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Such a funny post. I admit, I'm too insecure to co-host - so huzzah to you. Thanks for taking on the task this month.

    ReplyDelete
  18. It's good to hear you tried to co-host despite reservations. It seems like quite a responsibility. I'm considering it for next summer (is that as ridiculous as it sounds? To much pre-planning!)

    ReplyDelete
  19. I was nervous too when I co-hosted, but it turned out to be more fun than I anticipated. I visited way more IWSG members that month than ever. The folks in this group are pretty awesome.

Totally going to check out Realms Faire. Looks cool. :-D

  20. Thanks for co-hosting! I'm sure you'll be a wonderful co-host. I've co-hosted 3 times, and I always end up sleeping for about 12 hours afterwards. I think it helps to have an army of ninja clones...

    ReplyDelete
  21. Never co-hosted. I'm so slow to commit on these things. Of course, once I do commit I'm all in, so it's best that I don't overwhelm myself. Thanks for the heads up on 99 cent November!

    ReplyDelete
  22. I don't think anyone can match the stealth and speed of Alex, haha, so good luck! I couldn't ever co-host... seems like way too huge a job to me!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Co-hosting has always been fun for me. I'm usually pretty tired by the time the day is over, but it forces me to keep up with other blogs, so it's all good.

Thanks for co-hosting this month's IWSG!

    ReplyDelete
  24. I'm co-hosting next month and I have the same worries!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Hi,
Yes, I have co-hosted and I am amazed at what Alex does. He does a fantastic job.
Thank you also for co-hosting. Great job.
    Shalom,
    Patricia

  26. I emailed Alex to see if I could co-host for Dec/Jan, but I was too late! I am hoping to do it in February though, and I can't wait :). I've loved being part of this community so much that it's time for me to give something back. Thank you for co-hosting!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Thanks for co-hosting today! I’ve yet to co-host but I understand how you feel. I’d have the same worries too. I don’t know how Ninja Captain Alex does it. But you’re doing fine, so go ahead with your bad self and slink through the web with your ninja skills!

  28. Co-hosting was fun when I had the honor a few months ago. This is a super terrific group. I've joined and left a few others but IWSG has hard working and experienced members who are so supportive and helpful; plus we have a super dooper leader, (bowing to our Ninja hero). I've recommended IWSG for the Writers’ Digest’s Top 100 Best Websites for Writers. I hope everyone in this group takes the time to do this quickie email. Easy peasy.

  29. I've co-hosted a few times, and although it's a lot of work, it's super fun. No one can match the Ninja Captain in speed, especially with his clone army, but you do a great job co-hosting. :) Thanks for reminding me of Realms Faire and I'm definitely checking out 99 cent November! Hugs. Eva

  31. The tag line for your blog is great. It made me smile. Good luck with the co-hosting and developing those ninja skills.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Oh, and I did get both your comments on my blog - it was my bad I was slow to approve them and make them visible.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Thanks for co-hosting! :) I have problems with my cloning machine, too... I think it might be broken. :P

    ReplyDelete
  34. Hi Tyrean! You're experiencing the same insecurities I had when co-hosting the ISWG and co-hosting for the same reason. You'll be just great! Thank you for doing it! I will never catch up with Alex (or Pat Hatt), both of whom inspire me with all that they do. And that's okay; it's inspiring to have good models out there. Have an awesome day co-hosting!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Nope, I can't match his speed and stealth.

I am ready for the Unicorn Hunt next week.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I can't even imagine the pressures of co-hosting! I try and visit a few IWSG each month, and it's quite time consuming! Thanks for stopping by PepperWords!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Thanks for co-hosting, Tyrean. You're generous with your time, and we all appreciate it.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Nice twist on insecurity (am I good enough to co-host?) grin. Nice to meet you!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Wow, again! I'm not used to getting this many comments on my blog. How does Alex do this every week? I'm really not sure.

Deborah - thanks! I'm glad I made you smile.
Emma - I think we need a clone mechanic. :)
    Fundy - Thanks!
Diane - I'm looking forward to it!
M - you're welcome! It was nice meeting you.
    Olga - thanks!!!

  40. Yes, I've cohosted and I love doing it! Thanks for taking it on this month. No, I am nowhere near the Ninja with his super powers, but he is good inspiration!

    ReplyDelete
  41. I have never co-hosted IWSG. Not sure how good a host I'd actually be.
As for your co-hosting abilities? So far so good. :)

    ReplyDelete
  42. Thanks for co-hosting!!! I've done it twice and plan to do it more. November is a great time to co-host because of NaNo. I think you have what it takes and make a great co-host. Yay!!! :D

  46. Yup, I've cohosted 2 or 3 times. It's fun. Looking forward to the games next week!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Congratulations! You are doing a great job of co-hosting. I've only done it once, but it was soooo cool. Can't wait for an opportunity to do it again. Also, #99centnovember sounds awesome!

    ReplyDelete
  48. I have co hosted. No, I couldn't match the Ninja Captain's stealth, speed and awesomeness. Not sure anyone can.

    ReplyDelete
  49. There's only one Ninja Captain but I'm sure you're doing fine. IWSG works because of all the members and their support of each other.

  52. The shoes of our Ninja Captain are huge ones to fill, but you are doing awesome! Keep up the fantastic work! Happy Early Thanksgiving!

    ReplyDelete
  53. Well I think you're doing great - this was my first IWSG post and you're one of the first commenters! But yeah, I've known Alex through blogging for five or more years and he's got crazy ninja skills :) Realms Faire looks fun and so does 99 cent November!

    ReplyDelete
  54. 99c November. Now why didn't I think of that? I have an idea percolating for FREE books along these same lines. I hope you make great sales and meet new readers!

This is my first time co-hosting, but it's fun. I didn't get insecure about that at least! It's been fun meeting new people or finding people I'd lost touch with. Blogging definitely goes in waves.

  56. I don't know what I'd do without IWSG. It's a fantastic forum and filled with amazing people. The support is incredible. Thanks for co-hosting. Great job!

  57. You are a great co-host. You are always supportive. I co-hosted once and it was a lot of fun. Alex is awesome. I've made peace with the fact that I'll never be as awesome as him. I can just admire him and help out where I can:)

  58. This is my first time doing ISWG and it's fantastic. Such supportive and kind people! Thanks for co-hosting this wonderful gathering. Cheers - Ellen

    ReplyDelete
  60. Your visit to my first (official) and my accidentally unofficial IWSG posts was definitely appreciated. I'd say you did an excellent job as cohost based on making me and the other sixty-something commenters above me feel welcome. :-)

  61. Thanks for co-hosting, Tyrean! I'm not sure I'd be up to such a daunting task. You're so super-organized, though, I know you'll shine!
