X
Wait, I don't have any "x" names!!!
World Building Thought/Question: Does your world have any xenophobic characters?
Ok, ok, so I looked up x words and came up with that.
Hmm - ok, here's a better question:
Does your book have an "x" that marks the spot kind of place? A special place that has meaning for your characters?
My books had entire races that were xenophobic.
ReplyDeleteThat's true, and it was an important facet of the plot!
DeleteNo Xenophobic characters yet.
ReplyDeleteAnd what about special places?
DeleteNo characters for me either.
ReplyDeleteWhat about special places?
DeleteHmm, I don't have any xenophobes, either. Just a guy with some racial and religious prejudices. I should fix that. No special place, either. Unless you count the panic room. (I don't. It's not that special.)
ReplyDeleteHow about you?
Panic room? For you or your characters? Just kidding. :) Thanks for stopping by, Nate!
DeleteNope. No xenophobic characters . . . and hey, it works for this challenge! :P
ReplyDeleteThanks, SK!
DeleteOh, mine does! Mine does! A quaint little cabin in the woods--far away from all the evils in the world :)
ReplyDeleteCool! Quaint little cabins are cool!
DeleteThanks for stopping by GirlyBookworm!
ReplyDeleteOne of my recent novels has a few very important X spots - but one in particular, where an old childhood treasure is buried (or used to be ...!).
ReplyDeleteI'm working on a historical novel set in 1859. Plenty of people were xenophobic since foreigners were taking up jobs and changing the political landscape in the northern states.
ReplyDeleteI don't have any X names, but there are X spots. In The Broken Blade series one spot would be the boys' homes. Even when they go on their quest they are always thinking of their homes.
ReplyDeleteAnother might be the Elves' home. They learn a lot there so it has a special meaning to them later on.
Some of my projects have xenophobic characters in them. In fact, the protagonist of an old project of mine could probably be classified as one, haha...
