In the previous post, the umbrella and the rain boots are out of place on anyone from the Seattle area. We all wear hooded jackets, or just get wet. It's a strange matter of Northwest pride to be rained on without an umbrella. Plus, we don't often get outright downpours. It's usually a drizzle or a mist.
Sorry I'm posting so late . . .will finish my Story in the Details, Part 2 post tomorrow. . . had a very full day.
Wow I really got it wrong! interesting fact.

Crap, I missed the picture!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if they sell more of that waterproof spray for jackets and shoes in your area? :)
ReplyDeleteJoanne - I don't think you "really got it wrong." It's just an oddball part of life in the Northwest that I take as normal since I've lived her my whole life.
ReplyDeleteAlex - I'll repost later today.
Karen - No, I don't think they do. I've never waterproofed anything other than ski gear and my husband's leather jacket . . . that's it. We just get wet and enjoy it, or we take pride in the fact that we know we won't "melt". Rain is so unpredictable and yet constant that umbrellas as actually not practical . . . I'll explain more later today.
