Sully is my favorite monster of all time from Monsters, Inc. - big, furry and full of sweetness – who couldn’t love a “monster” like that?
Skillet’s Monster
Skillet rocks this Monster song! (one of my husband's earliest in-concert videos - he's the first one howling as the video ends)
And finally, this year I'll be dressing up as Velma, my favorite character from Scooby Doo. Last year I couldn't find the right skirt - this year I have something close enough after a 10 minute second hand store shopping trip.
And my favorite show with "monsters" that get unmasked:
As you can tell I'm not really a true "scary" movie fan . . . sorry, but this is how I thought I could best participate since I had a cool invite from Jeremy Bates
Halloween Hop!
ReplyDeleteHi! The scariest book I've ever read was "IT". It reached deep into my subconsciousness and scared the heck out of me! For Halloween I'll be dragging out my Elmo snuggy for my couch potato costume.

Someone needs to get a photo of you in that costume!
ReplyDeleteAwesome, I love Sully. Velma is great too, hooray for Scooby Doo! My favorite Halloween movie is The Nightmare Before Christmas, and I'm dressing as a devil with little clip on horns and a red feather boa. :-p
ReplyDeletelynnhubbard - aah, the couch potato costume - love that one!
ReplyDeleteAlex - maybe sometime this weekend I'll actually get a pic of me in that costume, but not yet.
Cortney - The Nightmare Before Christmas is sweet!
Happy Halloween Hop, Tyrean - good to *meet* you ;) I am a huge Scooby Doo fan and thrilled that it's still around for my kids, too! We always did a home-made family costume until my son told me last year that he didn't think the parents should dress up. So we bought day-after-Halloween costumes on super sale for the following year - the blue dragon from "How to Train Your Dragon" for him, and Astrid, the viking girl who rides that dragon for his sister. Sooo, 1 week before Halloween he asks me, "What're you and Daddy going to be?" We have now put together Hiccup's dad the viking for my husband and fire for myself (since dragons breathe fire). If he tries to tell me he's cutting me out next year, I'll know better than to believe him and have something ready!
ReplyDeleteShelley - nice to meet you too! :-) Our whole family loves "How to Train Your Dragon" and those sound like awesome costumes!
ReplyDeleteBOOO!

Monsters Inc was adorable!
ReplyDeleteI’m here visiting from Jeremy Bates' blog hop, and I love your blog!
My favorite scary book is IT (scared the crap out of me as a kid), movie that horrified me most was Rob Zombie’s remake of Halloween, and I did not dress up this year, because I suck. One of my favorite costumes in the past was "Dead Baby Roller Blades."
Happy Halloween! If you decide to come visit me, I'm at http://www.amberrisme.com
