That he had learned a lot as a writer and wanted to apply those principles to one of his favorite stories- just for personal satisfaction. <br /><br />We do learn and we do grow. I just hope I'm never accused of "phoning it in"...I've heard readers say that about books after a writer has become stellar. I hope I always give my readers their money's worth.
