IWSG and A to Z: A Celebrations!

IWSG: Celebrating Milestones

I'm celebrating a blogaversary at the end of this month, and along the way there, I'll be celebrating some of the bloggers and authors who have inspired me on this journey of blogging and writing. Sometimes I forget to celebrate milestones, but I think we all need these celebrations.

"Traveling through scenic country, we sometimes come upon a sign reading, 'Roadside Vista Ahead' . . . we pull of the highway, get out, stretch - and look. We see where we've been; we see where we're headed . . . These are connective moments . . . Honoring them is one of the ways we have of keeping our lives coherent - keeping what we've been connected with what we're becoming." - from Leap Over A Wall: Earthy Spirituality for Everyday Christians by Eugene H. Peterson, translator of The Message

And, I'm a Muffin Commando with these fine ladies: C. Lee Mckenzie (leader extraordinaire), Carrie ButlerYvonne VentrescaDonna McDinePatricia LynneTara Tyler, andTammy Theriault.

My theme is celebrations! All month long, I'll be celebrating authors and bloggers who have inspired me with their determination, spunk, and style.

Today, I'm celebrating:

Alex J. Cavanaugh, Ninja Captain, IWSG Originator and Host, Blogger Extraordinaire, and Author! Alex's posts always include joy and celebrations. He is always encouraging and always kind. His latest book, Dragon of the Stars, comes out on April 7th, and I plan to help him celebrate!

And, I'm celebrating:

Al Diaz, Father Dragon, Dragon on a Mission, Amazing Artist!
Al is the giver of Father Dragon Hugs complete with dragon-fire warmth and kindness. His posts are always inspiring, always fun to read, and always encouraging!

What milestones, authors, and bloggers make you pause for celebration?

If you are interested, I'm starting a newsletter via mailchimp. I'll send out special smashwords coupons, updates on "deals" ahead of time, and a few writing prompts. And, although it's called: Everyday Writer, I won't send it out more than once a month.

I paused to celebrate the end of my first draft for an hour. Then it was straight into revision/edit. Al and Alex are great people.

What an awesome way to participate in the A to Z Challenge by celebrating wonderful bloggers! I have met many fabulous bloggers over the years it would be hard to choose my favorites but... A very entertaining blogger, Beth Teliho at Writer B is Me.

As for milestones... my 50th last year was a big one for me, as well as getting my second poetry book in print. I celebrated with family for both and took time for myself.

Happy A to Z'ing!

OH_my_Dragon_Goodness! This is such an unexpected and touching honor, Tyrean. I didn't know you found inspiration in the dragon cave but I'm very glad for it. You just inspired me with that quote at the top on a day it comes so very helpful. Thank the Higher Powers that brought me to your blog today and thank YOU for the smile you've put on my scaly face. Dragon Hugs!

Hey, here's a funny fact. Al is short short of Alex, so you actually joined two Alex's in your post. ;)
